Restoring a Static Caravan After a Bathroom Water Leak

The Problem

Following concerns about a possible water leak within their static caravan bathroom, a policyholder contacted their insurance provider. Nationwide Caravan Repairs was appointed to inspect the caravan and assess the extent of the damage.

Our Inspection

During our inspection, we discovered that water had been leaking from the shower tray, allowing moisture to soak into the chipboard subfloor. Unfortunately, the leak had been present for some time, causing the damage to spread beyond the bathroom into the adjoining hallway and bedroom.

The Repair

Because static caravan shower cubicles are manufactured as complete units, the existing shower enclosure was carefully removed to allow access to the damaged flooring beneath. After repairing the source of the leak, we replaced the affected subfloor before installing a brand-new shower cubicle, manufactured to the policyholder’s preferred colour and style.

Throughout the repair process, our team kept the customer informed at every stage, ensuring the work was completed with minimal disruption and to the highest standard.

The Result

The caravan was fully restored, with both the water damage and its underlying cause professionally resolved. The customer was extremely pleased with the quality of the workmanship and the communication they received throughout the project, later leaving the following feedback:
